Loving Glue
On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable.
1 Corinthians 12:22 (NIV)
Husbands love your wives….
Ephesians 5:25 (NCV)
I wonder if most families are like mine. My wife Kris is gone this week and I feel ... well ... a little lost.
It's strange. Occasionally, this wonderful woman can seem so delicate, so vulnerable ... and so emotional.
She is passionate and she is reserved. She cries and on rare occasions, she storms. She is human, yes, but she is so much more. She is alive. Okay, okay. I’ll say it. She is more sensitive than her four men … and we love her dearly for it. Honestly, I don’t know what we’d do without her.
She is the glue that holds us, the sticky stuff that binds so well … that keeps us one.
This week my wife is gone, and, oh, how I miss her.
Hmmm.... I wonder if most families are like mine. I wonder if yours is a little like ours. I bet it is.
Father, You designed me to need my wife and strangely enough, she needs me too. Help me to give her what she needs—love. Help me to love her like Christ loved the Church. Amen.
